Happy days: day3

Hello,
Today for my happy days challenge the thing that I am grateful for and made me happy is that my mum gave me a lift to uni. It was really nice because i got a bit of extra time to get ready, plus I don't get much time alone with my mum so we had a nice chat. Here's a picture of me and my mum (it's quite old but we havnt took a photo together in a while)

Thanks :)

Happy days challenge: day 2

Hello lovley readers,
Its time for my happy days challenge post. Today has been a great day and a lot of things have made me happy. One thing that was really nice and made me smile was my friend Glenn got me a pen that I've been needing for a while. I know that sounds pathetic but because I draw everyday I get exited about new pens and pencils, so that was nice. One other really funny thing that happened today, I was drawing a pony falling into a bin and I didn't quite know how that would look. In the end I asked my friend Arron if he could fall into the bin for me to use as reference. So that was amusing here is a picture from that.

These posts feel so random but I hope they are amusing to read :)

100? Happy Days: Day 1

Hello again my lovely readers,

I  was just browsing through random blogs on the internet and i stumbled across a blog that was talking about something called 100happydays.com. And as i'm not too good at posting regularly and i am usually happy every day, I have decided to do a little mini series on this blog where i do the 100 happy days challenge but put it on my blog. I thought that this challenge might get me motivated to post more regularly plus hopefully it will spread happiness to more people. To read more about the 100 happy days challenge you can click here :)

Now i am terrible at sticking to things like this because my memory is SO bad (i even got my memory tested and believe me it was terrible.) But i am going to try as hard as i possibly can to post something every day plus i don't know how long i will keep this up i haven't decided yet. What i am going to do is post a little something that makes me happy , even if its just a line of text and a photo. It can be anything for example something that i enjoyed during the day, a funny sentence that i heard or said, a product that i have been loving, ANYTHING the world is my oyster.

So Todays thing that made me happy is going to be that i visited my best friend Canny over the weekend I got back today but i spent the morning with her and that was really nice. We watched movies and had a good laugh and catch up it was lovely :). Heres a few silly selfies that we took (i look so bad in them, i'm not used to taking photos of myself so i look gormless, but i don't care!)

Canny looking beautiful then theres my gormless face :')

Me and canny's dog Jasmine pulling faces at each other :')

Two posts in one day? this is madness, but i'm sure no one will mind. I hope everyone likes my new mini series idea and is inspired to take part in the challenge themselves because i think its a really good thing to get people feeling more positive about everything!
Thanks for reading.

LUSH: Let the good times roll review

Hello lovely readers,

I was looking through my blog and realised that i haven't put a review up in quite a while so thought id write about a lush product that i'm absolutely loving  at the moment, the 'let the good times roll' facial cleanser. I ran out of face wash and was on a hunt for a new one because i always like to try out new products to see if they will improve my strange skin. I have sensitive, combination skin (dry in some places oily in others) that gets spotty, so its a bit all over the place. I picked up this cleanser in the shop and thought it sounded quite nice from the description. I was contemplating buying it then i smelt the tester pot and was sold. My boyfriend even uses it sometimes because he cant resist the lovely sweet scent. It smells SO GOOD, It actually smells like you could eat it (but i wouldn't recommend that!)

I love lush products so i didn't expect to be disappointed and i certainly wasn't. It is great because i like to use face scrubs to get all of the flakey dry skin off my face, but because my face is quite sensitive the usual face scrubs are often too abrasive and hash for me, but this one is perfect. The texture is quite like mushy sand so it exfoliates whilst being gentle. the product is quite thick so on the tub it recommends mixing a lump of it with warm water before applying it to your face and this makes it a lot easier to apply. The texture is quite weird but nice at the same time, Its hard to describe but i rather like it. The other thing that i LOVE about this product is the way it makes your face feel clean but still moisturised after using it. Most face washes make my face feel stripped of all moisture after using them but this product makes my skin feel lovely. As for my spots i wouldn't say that it has dramatically improved them but it has improved the dry patches that i get so i cant complain really.

So i would say that apart from me wanting to eat my face every time i use it, i cant fault it at all. I would definitely recommend this to any one looking for a scrummy smelling, exfoliating, moisturising face cleanser. The price is also great because the product lasts quite a while, and you can use it all over your body if you wanted too. Although i wouldn't recommend getting a big tub unless you share with someone else because as most, if not all lush products have a use by date and it will probably go off before you finish it. Hope you enjoyed this little review.

LONDON!!

I'm so bad at posting in regular patterns and all i can do about that is apologise so sorry! But any how on with the post. Last weekend was very fun and eventful because i visited London with my class! I had a great time although it was very tiring as we crammed a lot into two short days. I wish i could have stayed longer and done more things, but i'm hopefully going back soon so its not too bad. There is quite a lot of writing in this post but theres photo's after :)

First let me start with the weird train journey. The train was pretty full and my teacher didn't reserve seats so we had to find un-reserved seats and this was really hard because there was so many people. In the end me and my friend Glenn got some seats next to an oldish couple and the journey was going fine until we were almost at London. First of all they started to analyse our teacher asking us 'what is she behind that image?' :S. When we got about three quarters of the way there the couple started having an argument about clearing out the garage and then it took a turn for the worst and the lady started asking her husband what would she do if he dies and she is left with all of his possessions. He didn't answer, then she proceeded to tell us that we could die right now and no one would know what to do because we hadn't planned out deaths. She also decided to tell us all of the possible ways that we could die throughout the weekend. So that was ... lovely. I think it was fair to say that we both wanted to go home after that speech  :(

Never mind though we had a great time once we got there. The weather was lovely and we did lots of quirky unique things that i wouldn't have probably done if id went to London alone. We stayed in Shoreditch and explored artsy streets and book shops (there was so much art everywhere). The first day we visited a little art gallery/shop called the illustration cupboard, i really enjoyed it there because i love looking at different illustrations. We then went to the London transport museum and originally i wasn't looking forward to this much but I really enjoyed it and for a museum it wasn't boring at all, although its pretty small so for the money to get in there wasn't much :/. We then went to Foyles book shop a HUGE book shop, i loved it and could have quite happily have bought all of the books but i restrained myself. The last stop of the day was a comic book sighing in an amazing comic book shop. It was so cool to go to a night signing it made me feel important, plus there was free alcohol thats always good!

The next day we got invited to tour the Nobrow (a beautiful book publisher) offices and it was amazing to see where it all started, it was so inspiring and all of their books are wonderful and such high quality. I bought a lovely space book! We then explored Columbia road and a few other streets around Shoreditch and it was great i really loved the second day as it was so chilled and fun, plus the gorgeous weather helped a lot and made the whole day feel like i was inside an Instagram photo :') .
It was great anyways as they say pictures speak 1000 words so here are a few of the pictures that i took throughout the trip!

I hope you enjoyed this fun post i had a great time in London and cant wait to go back in a couple of months! :) I think this blog is going to become more of a scrap book of little adventures that i go on, as well as reviews and other things. I hope that's okay with everyone :)
Thanks a lot

I won the Great British Bake off! (kind of)

I finally finished my essay today!! Although i still have a report to write :(. But anyways i thought id give myself the night off and thought it would be good to do a little life update post as i haven't posted anything in a while! (sorry about that)

So last week was just an average week at uni although it was quite chilled out compared to most weeks. I got some nice things done with my illustrations involving a pony and pink fluffyness! Here is a little peek at that :)

awhh poor pony :(

So yeah as the week was just going on as 'normal' and it got to Wednesday and because my teacher is a little bit crazy he had set up something called the 'Great Illustration Bake off.' This was where my class went and baked cakes and decorated them to match the illustrations that we are currently working on, It was so fun!! Our team made vanilla cup cakes and it was very messy to say the least. There was cake mix and icing sugar EVERYWHERE!! so yeah we all got on with decorating our cakes. I decided to make an ice cream cone unicorn horn because there is one in the story that i am illustrating! i was basing it off the little sketch that i had done below :)

I used pink icing that i had made for the ice cream, and put an ice cream cone on top of it. Okay so it wasn't the most complicated of designs but I WON!!!  I think it was because i had thought a but more outside of the box instead of just drawing a design onto the top of the cake. Everyones designs were really good and it was a lovely fun little afternoon. So yeah i didn't win anything physically but it was nice anyway. Here are some pictures of the finished cake and some other photos from the day.

The winning cake! :')

Me with my cake YUM!!

Here is my lovely class with all of our cup cakes!

I recorded all of the shenanigans on my phone because i thought it would be fun to keep the memories from it. Who knows maybe one day i will edit it into a proper video and show it to the world :O

Hope you enjoyed that little fun light hearted post i love posts like these and might start doing them more often. Let me know what you think about that in the comments.
Thanks a lot

Liebster Award Nomination!

Warning: Cup of tea needed this is a long post!

Carlie from Puggin' Awesome kindly deiced to nominate me for a liebster award, thank you Carlie! Go over and check out her blog its amazing, you'll love it!
So i thought id create a post where i will answer the questions that Carlie set, create my own questions and nominate some people myself.

First of all here are the liebister award rules

If you have been nominated for The Liebster Award AND YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT, write a blog post about the Liebster award in which you:

1. thank the person who nominated you, and post a link to their blog on your blog.
2. display the award on your blog — by including it in your post and/or displaying it using a “widget” or a “gadget”. (Note that the best way to do this is to save the image to your own computer and then upload it to your blog post.)
3.provide 11 random facts about yourself.

4. answer 11 questions about yourself, which will be provided to you by the person who nominated you.

5. nominate 5 – 11 blogs that you feel deserve the award, who have a less than 200 followers.
6. create a new list of 11 questions for the blogger to answer.

here goes my attempt at writing facts about myself

1, I am an extremely messy person, I sometimes wish I wasn't but I cant help it I just make everything a mess all of the time.

2, I'm right handed but I use my left hand for most other things like eating and I crochet and knit the left handed way. :S

3, I like to make things so I crochet things and knit hats. (here is a lovely ear warmer that i made)

4, I have had a lot of different hair colours including pink, purple and ginger.

5, I’m almost never feel thirsty so I don't drink anywhere near the amount that i should.

6, I don’t at all look like the kind of of person that would listen to rock music but its my favourite music genre and I’ve been to download music festival twice!

7, I once sailed a boat for a week and got the most horrifically bruised legs from it. :(

8, I once had my septum and lip pierced.

9,  I’m terrified of moths and butterflies basically anything that can flutter at me.

10, I'm really bad at sports and I don't do any, but one time I did insanity for a month. It almost killed me but I lost about a stone! (I’ve lost around 2 stone now)

11, I love to bake and if I wasn't studying illustration and doing art I think it would probably attempt to become a baker and open up a bakery.

Carlie's questions

1) Sum up your blog in one sentence

It shows things that happen in my lovely little life. :D

2) What is the funniest selfie you've ever taken? (bonus points for putting it up!)

8) When putting make up on, what do you generally play up? (eyeliner? bright lipstick?)

Either lipstick because it gets all over my teeth or blusher because i put my makeup on in the car on a morning and its often quite dark and i cant see how bright it is. oopsy :')
